Well, after seeing this new template i prefer this one! I like the white, i think its more "cleaner".

I agree this template is cleaner and I like that, but I don't know if white is a good color for the background, that's my only concern.
I understand your concern, why dont you try a very light grey?
Forgive my biased opinion since I did the graphical rewamp myself :o)
There are still quite a lot of things to do about the templates. I don't like this team formation screen, I have a textured soccer field but I need to fiddle with the colors first. We could use a different color on table backgrounds.
I like the white, and i like the black, i'm just afraid that either will be too white or too black.
anything in between should look good. if you do go with the white, maybe an offwhite color will look better?

I prefer the white, but I think you should swap Goalkeepers and defenders around, then it will be goalys, def, mid, att in sequence starting top left. And what is the margin on the right of the pitch for?

i agree with leehamo! and perhaps that margin should be deleted and instead creat a box called bench :p
just a thought
the margin on the right is the drop area for when you want to easily remove a player. Our first idea was to draw some benchs there (and perhaps we will do so). Also, the goalkeeper is isolated for a technical reason. For now, as these are not a big problems, we will overlook them. But in future we will probably perform a lot of tuning.

This new template (white) is better than the old one... or as Alexandre said, it is "cleaner"... but I have the same concern that Gabriel has... the white color for the background... :)
